Maternity photography in Las Vegas

Planning your maternity session

Deep Focus Photos is a Las Vegas maternity photographer led by Omer Khan. Sessions are shot in our studio or on location across the valley, and every gallery is edited and delivered by the same person who was behind the camera. Most clients book a maternity photographer in Las Vegas somewhere between 28 and 34 weeks, when the bump is unmistakable but movement is still comfortable. Earlier is fine if you are expecting twins or have been told to plan for an early delivery.

Studio work gives you clean backdrops, controlled light, and full flexibility regardless of weather or time of year, which matters in a city where summer afternoons sit well above 100 degrees. Outdoor sessions are scheduled at sunrise or in the hour before sunset. Red Rock Canyon and the Valley of Fire give you red sandstone and long warm light. The dry lake beds north of the city give you a clean horizon with nothing else in the frame. Downtown and the Arts District bring color and texture, and the Strip after dark gives you neon behind you.

Bring two or three outfits. Fitted knits, long flowing dresses, and solid colors photograph best; fine stripes and busy patterns tend to distort on camera. A partner, older children, and grandparents are welcome in the frame at no extra cost on the full session, and many families use the same appointment for both a solo set and a group set. If you plan to photograph the baby too, the maternity and newborn bundle keeps both stages with the same photographer and the same look.

On the day, plan to arrive about ten minutes early so there is time to change and settle in. You do not need to know how to pose. Each look takes roughly twenty to thirty minutes, and you are given direction the whole way through — where to put your hands, where to look, how to stand so the bump reads clearly in the frame. Hair and makeup should be finished before you arrive, and it helps to eat beforehand and bring water.

Sessions start at $300. Every package includes retouched high-resolution images in a private online gallery, and full-session clients receive a print release so you can order albums, canvases, and announcement cards wherever you like.

Common questions

When should I schedule maternity photos?

Between 28 and 34 weeks is the window most clients choose. The bump is clearly visible and you are usually still comfortable standing and walking for a two-hour session. Book earlier if you are carrying multiples.

How much do maternity photos cost in Las Vegas?

Our sessions start at $300 for a 40-minute studio shoot with 60+ edited images. The full two-hour session with indoor and outdoor coverage is $550, and the maternity plus newborn bundle is $1,100.

Studio or outdoor — which should I pick?

Studio is predictable, air conditioned, and works in any season. Outdoor gives you desert light and Las Vegas scenery. The full session includes both, so you do not have to choose.

Can my partner and kids be in the photos?

Yes. Partners and family are included on the full session at no additional charge, and we always shoot a solo set alongside the group photos.

What should I wear?

Bring two or three looks: something fitted that shows the shape, something flowing for movement, and one outfit that feels like you day to day. Solid colors film best. Avoid fine stripes and busy prints.

What if the baby arrives early?

Rescheduling is free. If the timing no longer works for a maternity shoot, the deposit moves to a newborn session instead.

How long until I get my gallery?

Edited galleries are delivered in two to three weeks. A short preview set goes out within a few days of the session so you have something to share right away.
